5 Quick Ergonomic Fixes

When you're already in love with your current space, it's hard to make a change. So instead of showing what you can buy to make your workspace more ergonomic (and trust us there are a lot of great products out there), here are five quick adjustments you can make to the 'old sweet home cubby.

1. Monitor

On average, your computer screen should be 20 inches away from you and at eye level. This will decrease the likelihood of craning your neck.

2. Chair Height

Adjust your seat until your feet rest flat on the floor and your knees are parallel to your hips. This will naturally help you sit up straighter. Backaches begone!

3. Armrests

Make sure your office chair has adjustable arms. More importantly, use them! It prevents the muscles in your neck from working overtime.

4. Screen Background

Avoid bright colors. The muter the color the less overtime your eyes will take processing them.

5. Keyboard

A general rule of thumb is that your keyboard should be in the middle ground between you and your monitor. This will stop you from over or under extending the muscles in your arms.
